Question:

My wife wants us to practice domestic discipline.
She wants me to discipline her should the need arise.
I am conflicted about domestic discipline as a Christian.
I believe the husband should be in charge of his wife, but society now says this is wrong and we are equal, and the husband should have no authority over his wife.
Can you help me?

The Bible says in
Ephesians 5:23-24 (KJV)
23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

The passage above tells us the husband is the head of the house.

Regarding society, I think this verse will help you settle your conflict.

Romans 12:2
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
